Alexis Grace comes from the middle names of the two most amazing people in my life, my daughters. Mary Alexis is seventeen and now has her driver's license. She is a math wiz who (Lord help me!) favors gray, yes gray, t-shirts and jeans. Morgan Grace is fifteen and loves fashion as much as I do. She once got in trouble for wearing high heels to girl scout camp.
**2010 update** Mary Alexis is now eighteen and will be attending WPI in the fall. YEAH! I will try my best not to stalk her as long as she promises to send her classmates to the store. Morgan Grace will be a high school senior and has yet to decide what she wants to do when she grows up. I told her not to worry--it took me 40 years to figure it out, so I think she still has some time.
2011/2012: Mary is now a sophomore at WPI and was just accepted into the IQP Program in Thailand. She will be headed there next January-UGH! (I mean Yeah!)
Morgan is at DYNAMY, the oldest GAP year program in the country--and it is right here in Worcester! She is taking classes at Clark University and interning at Sweet in Worcester and Swapaholics.com in Boston.
2012/2013 UPDATE: Mary is a junior at WPI and has made the Deans List for the last two years (brag, brag). She is involved in many committees, programs and clubs there, most of which are identified by initials that I always mix-up. She has booked her VERY expensive ticket to Thailand and has gotten her passport. So, I am guessing that this Thailand thing is really going to happen.
Morgan is a freshman at Assumption and still works part time at Sweet. Right now she is adjusting to living in a tiny dorm with two other young ladies who I pray are not slobs because my Miss Moe likes her things neat and tidy. We miss having her at home to pick up after us. Since she has left there always seems to be dishes in the sink and I am not happy about being left with cat box duty.
